Republican Attorney, Jesse Quackenbush has announced his candidacy for Texas House of Representatives, District 87. Quackenbush is a conservative constitutional law specialist who focuses on criminal defense and has personally litigated over 250 jury trials, both civil and criminal. He claims that the Republican Party is under legal attack by liberals throughout the United States and it’s time the Texas House “gets lawyered up!” Quackenbush states “[If] you can’t see what’s happening, you need to look closer. The Democrats have weaponized the Department of Justice, State Attorney Generals and local District Attorneys to criminalize everything Republicans do.” He claims that “Donald Trump and his supporters, from top to bottom, are being indicted across the Country and it’s political warfare, plain and simple.” Quackenbush points to the Georgia 19, Donald Trump, Arizona Election officials and Attorney General, Ken Paxton as “clear examples of how Democrats use criminal indictments in their effort to destroy the Republican Party and scare off legitimate candidates.” Quackenbush claims that “without legal warriors in State Houses across the Nation, the Republican Party is doomed.” He further states “[T]he days of part time citizen politicians like Realtors and retirees are gone. We need battle tested legal specialists to protect our fellow members from false allegations and impeachment attempts.”
Quackenbush states that his top legislative priorities if elected are: rural economic development; border security; improving elder care; school choice; protecting 2nd Amendment rights; criminal justice reform; and lowering property taxes. Quackenbush states “I believe in free enterprise, individual liberties, constitutional rights and limited governmental intrusions in our businesses and personal lives.”
